Families are struggling in Metro Denver.
1 in 8 people in Metro Denver are living at or below the Federal Poverty Level and cannot afford life’s basic necessities.*
The increasing cost of living in Metro Denver is forcing hard-working families to make hard decisions – childcare or car repairs? Mortgage or medicine?
57% of 2-1-1 callers have an annual family income of under $20,000 and are struggling to make ends meet.**

Mile High United Way’s 2-1-1 Help Center connects individuals with the resources that provide food, shelter, rental assistance, childcare options, legal assistance, and more. Last year, 2-1-1 received more than 75,000 contacts from people in 11 Colorado counties seeking help.
 

For individuals in need, 2-1-1 can provide connections to more than 11,000 health and human service programs with a single call. Our service also reduces the burden on 9-1-1, enabling the emergency line to focus on life-or-death and crisis situations.
